Commercial Lines Account Manager

Hours:  Full Time

Summary:  

Under direct supervision of agency manager, commercial account managers are energetic, outgoing individuals responsible for building client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.  Account managers are critical thinkers, capable of understanding the needs of the clients and communicating decisions to various parties involved in the transaction, they are incredibly detail oriented.  Account managers serve as the first point of contact for clients, the right hand of the producer and a business partner to our carriers. Linville Insurance requires members of our team to possess a positive and winning attitude.

Duties:

Initiating and renewing the insurance transaction, *maintaining and changing accounts as necessary, *Compiling data and verify accuracy, *Marketing new accounts, * Up-selling and cross-selling current clients, *Canceling policies as requested, *Placing and processing coverages, *Handling client communications, electronically and in person, *Preparation of formal proposals, * Keeping informed on rates and coverage changes, *Online quoting of various carriers, *Following established policies and procedures, *Maintaining required license, *Attending required meetings, *Other duties as required by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Account manager must obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of all insurance industry trends and practices as well as specific information related to carriers and insurance products.  A successful candidate will be able to put energy and focus into the following skill sets every day, to demonstrate a mastery level: technical skills, interpersonal skills, communications skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills.  A minimum of 3 years prior experience working with business accounts is preferred.
